Teaching empathy is the primary grades is already tough; keeping it relevant through the rest of schooling is really difficult. The constant grade culture (constant comparisons and teaching to a test) take away joy from learning and removes many opportunities for empathy to be centered. Of course, it happens, but it’s difficult to centre. Thanks
